Joni Mitchell Named MusiCares’ 2022 Person of the Year
Joni Mitchell has been named as MusiCares’ 2022 Person of the Year. Per tradition, she’ll be the center of a tribute concert set to take place during Grammy week in Los Angeles. It happens Saturday, January 29, and performers have yet to be announced.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Mitchell’s landmark 1971 LP Blue, which she commemorated in June with a rare appearance thanking fans on social media. Mitchell is also among this year’s Kennedy Center honorees, alongside Berry Gordy, Bette Midler, Lorne Michaels, and others.
