Shawn Mendes Takes a Walk Down Snowy Toronto in ‘it’ll Be Okay’ Video
On Thursday morning, the Canadian singer released an emotional music video for “It’ll Be Okay.”
Shawn Mendes made it to his hometown to shoot the video, directed by Jay Martin. His melancholic single comes a month after the singer’s breakup with Camila Cabello after more than 2 years of dating. Fans assumed that the song is about their relationship on which Mendes sings, “If you tell me you’re leaving, I’ll make it easy / It’ll be okay / If we can’t stop the bleeding / We don’t have to fix it, we don’t have to stay / I will love you either way.”
The singer did a live stream with fans to share his experience filming the music video, “We were in Toronto, and it was nighttime, and it was freezing, and there was lots of fake snow going in my mouth,” he told. “It’ll Be Okay” marks Shawn’s first solo track since “Wonder”, his fourth studio album which was released in December 2020.
