Armin van Buuren’s ‘Es Vedrà’: A Musical Ode to Ibiza’s Legends and Dance Floors
With 16 seasons under his belt, Armin van Buuren‘s new release, “Es Vedrà,” is a heartfelt nod to the enchanting island of Ibiza. Armin van Buuren reflects on the island’s storied past, often linked to mythical sirens and sea-nymphs from Homer’s Odyssey, who ensnared sailors with their enchanting voices. Ibiza is also revered as the sacred isle of Tanit, the Phoenician goddess of fertility, who holds a special place as the island’s guardian. These legends inspired the creation of this track.
The song begins with a chorus that mimics the calls of sirens, weaving through the progressive house beat. As the music progresses, the rhythm becomes lively and the melody sharp, perfect for an afternoon on the dance floor. “Es Vedrà” builds in intensity, making it a dynamic tribute to the island’s rich mythology.
The release sets the stage for Armin van Buuren’s upcoming tour, which includes a residency in September at the iconic Ushuaïa Ibiza club.
