Verknipt Sets New Guinness World Record for Largest Laser Show

Hard techno event brand Verknipt has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest laser show. The record was set on Saturday night at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, where 1,100 lasers illuminated the venue during a special 10-minute segment titled the Verknipt Experience Show. The achievement surpasses the previous record of 824 lasers, set in Dubai.

The event marked a historic moment for both Verknipt and the global electronic music scene. “We didn’t just break a world record, we’ve written history,” said the Verknipt team in a statement. “The energy in the ArenA was indescribable during the special 10-minute Verknipt Experience show: happiness, excitement, but also deep emotion as we closed this final chapter.”

The ArenA, which hosted 40,000 attendees for the night, featured a newly designed 360° stage, a rotating DJ booth, and a laser rig custom-programmed for the record-breaking performance. The production was part of Verknipt’s final show at the stadium, following last year’s inaugural edition which utilized only 50 lasers by comparison.

Saturday’s event also included performances by Basswell B2B Onlynumbers, Cloudy B2B NOVAH, Cynthia Spiering B2B Paul Elstak, DYEN B2B Fantasm, and Nico Moreno, alongside showcases from the Verknipt ArenA 2025 album.

Verknipt’s final bow at the ArenA signals the end of a chapter—but with their name now in the Guinness Book of World Records, their impact is likely to resonate across the industry for years to come.
