Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus Says He’s Now Cancer Free
Back in June, Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus revealed that he was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. Now, Hoppus has announced that he is cancer free. “Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!!” he wrote earlier today. “Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love.” Find his full post below.
When he initially announced his diagnosis, Hoppus did not reveal the exact kind of cancer he was diagnosed with, or at what stage it was found. He eventually revealed, however, that he’d been diagnosed with stage four diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. In today’s Instagram post, he wrote that he will still have to get cancer screenings every six months. “It’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed,” Hoppus added.
