Dizzee Rascal Charged With Assault
Dizzee Rascal, the pioneer of grime music who was born Dylan Kwabena Mills, has been charged with assault, The Guardian and The Associated Press report. According to The Guardian, London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “Dylan Mills, 36, of Sevenoaks, Kent, has been charged with assault after an incident at a residential address in Streatham on 8 June. Officers attended and a woman reported minor injuries. She did not require hospital treatment.”
Dizzee Rascal, who released his latest album E3 AF last year, is reportedly out on bail and expected to appear at south London’s Croydon Magistrates Court on Friday, September 3.
In 2020, Dizzee Rascal was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
