Don Diablo Debuts CONTROL ALT DΞLΞTΞ with New “Amsterdam”: Out Now

Dutch DJ and producer Don Diablo has officially launched his new alias CONTROL ALT DΞLΞTΞ with the release of “Amsterdam” via Canadian electronic label Monstercat. The single arrives on the heels of his sold-out North American tour, which included stops in Denver, Montreal, Chicago, New York City, and Toronto.

“Amsterdam” marks a sonic departure from Don Diablo’s traditional sound. The track mixes cinematic melodies with grime influences and a driving drum & bass rhythm, anchored by distorted vocal samples. Don Diablo called it a “high-energy, emotional, and heartfelt tribute to the city I grew up in and still deeply love.”

The release comes with news of his first hometown show since 2018. It’s set for September 19 at Paradiso in Amsterdam. The event marks a return to intimate roots, in contrast to the large-scale productions he’s known for.

CONTROL ALT DΞLΞTΞ reflects a broader creative shift for the artist, who has remained a prominent figure in global electronic music. Don Diablo has collaborated with artists including Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Madonna. Don Diablo has made his mark in the digital art space, showcasing his work at major events such as the Venice Biennale and Art Basel.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of his HEXAGON imprint. It also follows collaborations with Nelly Furtado and a debut on Sweat It Out. Don Diablo’s summer tour includes stops at Sziget, Untold, Medusa, Amnesia Ibiza, and more.
