New Avicii Documentary on Netflix Unveils First Trailer
A new Netflix documentary, Avicii – I’m Tim, is set to offer a detailed look at the life and career of the late Swedish DJ and producer Avicii. The film, which will be available for streaming worldwide starting December 31, includes appearances from notable collaborators such as David Guetta and Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Archival footage and recordings allow Avicii to narrate his own story, providing an intimate perspective on his journey.
Accompanying the documentary is a 30-minute concert film featuring Avicii’s final performance at Ushuaïa in Ibiza, adding a powerful element to the retrospective.
The film traces Avicii’s life from his birth in Stockholm in 1989 to his untimely passing in Oman in 2018 at the age of 28. Drawing on personal home videos and an extensive archive, the documentary presents insights from his family, close friends, and collaborators, giving audiences a closer understanding of the individual behind the global phenomenon.
Following Avicii’s death, his legacy has continued to be celebrated. In 2019, a posthumous album titled Tim was released, and Sweden has paid tribute to him by establishing the Avicii museum and renaming Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe as Avicii Arena.
Avicii – I’m Tim promises to be a heartfelt tribute to an artist whose music resonated with millions around the world.
