See Eric Prydz’s New Holosphere 2.0 at Ibiza’s UNVRS
Eric Prydz has done it again. But this time, it’s not just about music. It’s about building an entirely new world.
On Monday night, Prydz unveiled Holosphere 2.0 at Ibiza’s newest superclub, [UNVRS]. And calling it a “show” doesn’t cut it. It’s a massive, glowing sphere—custom-built from scratch—that surrounds Prydz as he performs. It’s part sculpture, part spaceship, and fully next-level.
The visuals are what make it unforgettable. Working with top digital artists, including the legendary GMUNK, Prydz filled the sphere with 360-degree footage of plasma balls, crystal orbs, and burning glass. Each loop plays like a living work of art, floating around him in full 3D. It’s not just eye candy—it’s storytelling with light.
And the scale is wild. [UNVRS] was the only club with the space and tech muscle to handle something this big. The sphere had to be both super strong and nearly invisible—no easy feat. But the result is stunning. The visuals seem to hang in the air, wrapping the music in a dreamlike shell.
Prydz said it took six years to pull off. “Not because we wanted to,” he explained, “but because we had to. The technology needed to catch up with our vision.”
This isn’t just a bigger version of his old show. It’s a complete rework. Everything was made from the ground up. And it shows. From the sharper visuals to the deeper immersion, Holosphere 2.0 doesn’t just raise the bar—it changes the game.
Prydz isn’t following trends. He’s building new ones. And if this is the future of live electronic music, count us in.
