Subtronics to Shake the Sphere: Dubstep Closes Out UNITY in Vegas
Subtronics is set to make history this fall, closing out Tomorrowland and Insomniac’s groundbreaking “UNITY” series at Las Vegas’ mind-bending Sphere on October 18.
The announcement confirms the dubstep heavyweight as the final headliner in what’s being billed as a multi-sensory spectacle. The UNITY experience, which opens on August 29, merges the visual theatrics of Tomorrowland’s fantasy worlds with the immersive rave DNA of Insomniac’s iconic brands—EDC, Beyond Wonderland, Escape, and more. It’s a bold new era of EDM mega-shows, and Subtronics is the one tasked with sending it off in style.
“DREAMS REALLY COME TRUE,” he posted, and honestly, it’s hard to argue with that. The Philly-born producer—known for his mind-warping drops and innovative use of visual production under his TESSERACT project—has always pushed dubstep toward the edge. Now, he’s about to blast it through a 360-degree LED screen at one of the most advanced venues in the world.
The Sphere has already hosted a handful of electronic acts, but Subtronics will be the first dubstep artist to headline the venue, taking the genre from underground warehouses to one of Las Vegas’ most futuristic stages.
The UNITY experience is more than just DJ sets. Each night begins with a guided audio-visual journey through different realms—from Tomorrowland’s mythical Planaxis and Orbyz to Insomniac’s neon dreamscapes—complete with orchestral layers and surprise guests.
Opening weekend is already sold out, but a few tickets remain for the later dates, including Subtronics’ closer. If you’re a basshead with a taste for spectacle, October 18 might be your pilgrimage.
