Techno Titan Returns: Amelie Lens Drops “Breathe,” First of Many New Tracks

Belgian DJ and producer Amelie Lens emerges from a creative period with “Breathe,” the first single from a wealth of new material. This pulsating track, released on her EXHALE label, marks her official return to solo releases in 2024.

“Breathe” follows Lens’ November 2023 single “You and Me,” released on EXHALE. The intervening months haven’t just been quiet, however. In December, Lens and partner Farrago welcomed their newborn daughter Kiki to the world. A week before “Breathe’s” release, Lens hinted at her continued productivity during pregnancy with a social media post: “I worked on soooo much music during my pregnancy and cannot wait to start releasing new music!!”

While fans eagerly awaited the chance to experience “Breathe” live at Ultra Miami 2024, a fierce storm with heavy rain and thunder forced the cancellation of Friday’s events, including Amelie Lens’ set. Undeterred, “Breathe” itself offers an undeniable remedy. Clocking in at a driving 148 BPM, the track seamlessly blends powerful percussion with melodic elements and a captivating vocal lead.

This release serves as a mere appetizer for what’s to come from Lens. Techno enthusiasts can also look forward to her upcoming remix of “Syren” (Extended Mix) on Anyma’s forthcoming album “Genesys II,” dropping March 29th.
