Explosions in the Sky Announce New Soundtrack, Share New Song “Climbing Bear”
Explosions in the Sky have announced a new soundtrack. Big Bend (An Original Soundtrack for Public Television) will accompany a new nature documentary from PBS titled Big Bend: The Wild Frontier of Texas. The soundtrack arrives October 1. Today, Explosions in the Sky have shared lead single “Climbing Bear.” Check that out below, and scroll down for the LP’s tracklist.
Big Bend: The Wild Frontier of Texas premiered on PBS in the United States and a variety of networks in other countries earlier this year. The hourlong film follows the lives of animals native to Texas’ Big Bend National Park. Explosions in the Sky, native Texans themselves, were approached to craft the soundtrack in 2019.
Explosions in the Sky issued their most recent studio album The Wilderness in 2016. In 2019, they released a series of 20th anniversary reissues and set out on a 20th anniversary tour.
