Christine and the Queens Covers George Michael’s “Freedom! ’90” on New EP
Christine and the Queens has shared two new cover songs after performing them during Global Citizen Live. The covers of George Michael’s “Freedom! ’90” and Michel Fugain’s “Fais comme l’oiseau” are housed on the new Joseph EP. Listen below.
Christine and the Queens released the EP La vita nuova last February, with Caroline Polachek appearing on its title track. Christine and the Queens later released remixes of the song with Populous, A. G. Cook, and Logic1000. Later in the year, she released a new song titled “Eyes of a child” for an Amazon Prime Video series and also covered Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire.” She worked with French band Indochine to rework their track “3e sexe” into the updated “3Sex.”
