Anyma NYE Performance To Mark Vegas Sphere’s First Electronic Music Event
Last September, we listed electronic music artists we thought should perform at the Vegas Sphere. Now, Anyma is set to be the first to do so.
The famous Italian DJ, who co-founded the Afterlife label, recently teased a performance at the $2.3 billion venue with a cryptic video. In the video, he faces off against a humanoid robot in a barren desert with a structure in the distance resembling the colossal Sphere.
Sphere Entertainment, the venue’s owners, have confirmed the rare concert. Anyma will be the first electronic music artist to perform at the record-breaking Sphere, the world’s largest spherical structure, on December 31st. This follows residencies by legendary rock bands like U2, Phish, Dead & Company, and The Eagles. The Sphere features the world’s largest and highest-resolution wraparound LED screen, providing an unparalleled experience for Anyma fans, known for his immersive visual shows in the electronic dance music scene.
The Sphere’s inner sanctum projects stunning graphics on its massive LED screen, which covers 160,000 square feet—about the size of four football fields. The venue’s advanced technology uses complex scientific principles to “direct sound like laser beams” across the audience. It also includes an infrasound seating system with haptics that transmit 4D wind effects and bass to your chair and feet.
The New Year’s Eve concert is titled “The End of Genesys,” a nod to Anyma‘s audiovisual brand and tour of the same name. His debut album, released in March, also shares the “Genesys” title. Sphere Entertainment mentions that special guests will join the concluding performance of “Genesys.”
Presale registration for tickets is now open. The presale starts on Monday, July 22nd at 9 am PT, with the general sale following the next day at the same time.
