Bonnaroo 2021 Canceled Due to Flooding From Hurricane Ida Weather
The 2021 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has been canceled due to flooding from Hurricane Ida–related rain. The Manchester, Tennessee festival was set to kick off this weekend (September 2-5) with headliners Megan Thee Stallion, Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Lizzo, and many more. Read the festival’s official announcement below.
“While this weekend’s weather looks outstanding, currently Centeroo is waterlogged in many areas, the ground is incredibly saturated on our tollbooth paths, and the campgrounds are flooded to the point that we are unable to drive in or park vehicles safely,” the festival noted.
Bonnaroo has not taken place since 2019. The festival’s 2020 edition was first postponed in mid-March and then canceled outright that June. On Monday, the festival announced that “areas of our campgrounds will be rendered unusable” due to the heavy rain. Full refunds were being offered to anyone impacted. Now, the festival has been scrapped entirely.
