Charlotte de Witte to Make History on Tomorrowland with Two Mainstage Sets in One Day
Charlotte de Witte is set to make festival history at Tomorrowland 2025, becoming the first artist ever to perform twice on the Mainstage in a single day. On Saturday, July 19th, the Belgian techno powerhouse will both open and close the iconic stage — a full-circle moment that blends personal legacy with historic achievement.
The record-breaking sets will happen during the festival’s first weekend, which runs from July 18–20 in Boom, Belgium. De Witte will start the day with a special Daybreak set, known for its stripped-back, hypnotic vibe — a sound that has defined her rise from underground favorite to international headliner. After a full slate of programming, she’ll return to the Mainstage to close out the night, bringing the day’s energy full circle for tens of thousands of fans.
“This year, I’ll be playing on the Mainstage – not once, but twice,” de Witte shared in a press release. “Back in 2011, after winning a DJ contest, I had the chance to open the Mainstage of Tomorrowland. It basically changed my life. In 2022, I was the first techno and female act to close the same Mainstage. Fast forward to this year – 2025 – I will be closing the Mainstage and I will also be opening the Mainstage on the same day.”
The announcement has added major momentum to this year’s Tomorrowland, which is celebrating its 19th edition under the new visual theme Orbyz. While the production design promises a fresh creative overhaul, de Witte’s double set is shaping up to be the emotional centerpiece of the weekend.
For longtime fans and newer ravers alike, this is more than a scheduling twist — it’s a celebration of how far both de Witte and techno have come. From early morning pulse to late-night climax, July 19th will mark a day that redefines what’s possible for a DJ on the world’s biggest festival stage.
