DBN Gogo Set to Break New Ground with Sold-Out Show at Belgium’s Tomorrowland Festival
In recent years, South African artists have elevated their international profiles significantly. This year, award-winning amapiano star DBN Gogo is set to make history as the first female amapiano DJ and producer to perform at Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland, one of the largest annual music festivals globally, will be held in Boom, Belgium, over two weekends: July 19-21 and July 26-28. This year, DBN Gogo, also known as Mandisa Radebe, will make history as the first female amapiano DJ and producer to perform at the festival. She is scheduled to take the Crystal Garden stage on Friday, July 19, alongside artists like London’s Alan Dixon, Tanzania’s Kayumba, and Berlin-based Keinemusik, Meera, Samm, and pop trio WhoMadeWho.
The festival’s line-up includes more than 400 world-class artists, such as Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, and Deadmau5, covering a broad spectrum of electronic music genres, from techno and hard techno to house, bass, and EDM.
The festival, which typically hosts around 400,000 attendees over two weekends, draws people from nearly 200 countries. Tomorrowland features 16 stages, extensive experiential areas, a sprawling campsite, and various whimsical attractions.
DBN Gogo, famed for her hit “Jele,” will make history as the first female amapiano artist to perform at this renowned music festival. She joins the ranks of South African artists like Grammy award-winning DJ Black Coffee and the music duo Major League DJz, who have previously performed at Tomorrowland.
