Disclosure and Anderson .Paak Tease New Track “NO CAP”

Disclosure and Anderson .Paak just flipped the summer script with a surprise announcement that’s already sending shockwaves through the EDM and hip-hop worlds alike. The UK house heavyweights and the California groove king have joined forces on a new track called “NO CAP”—and from the sounds of it, we’re in for something explosive.

The first tease came from a clip dropped by Disclosure last month, showcasing a funky four-on-the-floor rhythm with Paak’s unmistakable vocals cutting through like a ray of sunshine. But it was over the weekend at Montauk’s sun-drenched Surf Lodge where things really took off. Disclosure gave an unannounced spin of the unreleased track to a lucky crowd—and naturally, phones were out, heads were nodding, and EDM Twitter lit up.

“NO CAP” marks the first-ever collaboration between the two genre-bending acts, despite both artists dominating the festival circuit for years. Anderson .Paak has already proven his EDM chops on collaborations with Fred again.. and TOKiMONSTA, while simultaneously moonlighting under his dance alias, Pee .Wee, spinning vinyl-only sets for die-hards. Disclosure, meanwhile, continue to stretch the limits of house music, recently flirting with darker sonics and retro throwbacks in equal measure.

With summer at its peak and fans hungry for crossover anthems, “NO CAP” could easily become the season’s dancefloor essential. Until it hits streaming, all we can do is loop the teaser and wait. But if the Montauk crowd’s reaction is any indication, Disclosure and Paak just delivered one of the year’s hottest collabs.
