Franky Wah Announces Reward for Return of Stolen Laptop and Items in Ibiza
Franky Wah, a prominent figure in English house music, has faced a significant setback while in Ibiza, revealing that his laptop and several personal items were stolen.
In a recent video shared on social media, the DJ reached out to his followers and fellow musicians on the island, offering a reward for any information leading to the recovery of his stolen goods. “Everything’s been taken,” he disclosed, highlighting the loss of irreplaceable work including music projects stored on his laptop.
Support poured in from various artists, including techno legend Carl Cox and the celebrated dance music duo NERVO. Franky Wah is currently on the island for his SHÈN residency at Club Chinois and is scheduled to perform in Madrid soon. His latest musical endeavor, a nine-track album titled ‘Road to Ibiza,’ was inspired by his extended stint in the vibrant locale.
Despite efforts to track down the missing items, Franky Wah updated fans that the belongings had yet to be found. He expressed frustration over the loss of many music projects and ideas not backed up, representing countless hours of dedication. “I’ve got a lot backed up, but now I have to put in double the effort to make up for what was lost, especially with upcoming shows this weekend,” he explained.
This incident has undoubtedly shaken Wah but has also rallied the music community around him, demonstrating their solidarity in his time of need.
