Paramore’s Hayley Williams Gets Songwriting Credit on Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U”
Hayley Williams and former Paramore guitarist Josh Farro are now credited as songwriters of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U,” as Billboard reports. Williams and Farro are the writers of Paramore’s 2007 single “Misery Business,” and fans and critics have noted similarities between the Riot! hit and Rodrigo’s Sour track. A representative for Rodrigo did not immediately reply to request for comment.
Olivia Rodrigo and Daniel Nigro are the other credited “Good 4 U” songwriters. Earlier this year, Annie Clark, Jack Antonoff, and Taylor Swift were retroactively credited as writers of Sour’s “Deja Vu,” also written by Rodrigo and Nigro. The credit came after Rodrigo’s admission that the bridge for her song was inspired by Swift’s Lover song “Cruel Summer.”
