PAROOKAVILLE Announces Global Star Kygo
More than 225,000 people will be welcomed to the City of Dreams for an incredible weekend as PAROOKAVILLE’s city gates open for the seventh time in less than 165 days. Plans for the biggest electronic music festival in Germany are already underway in anticipation of the city’s residents joining over 300 DJs on more than 10 stages to celebrate every kind of electronic music this coming July 21–23. With Kygo and Alok, our second Artist Announcement Week now promises fans not one, but two incredible headlining debuts.
Norway’s Kygo changed an entire genre with his breakthrough single, “Firestone.” Kygo has become a global superstar thanks to his multi-platinum singles “It Ain’t Me” (featuring Selena Gomez) and “Higher Love,” which together have astronomical streaming numbers.
Kygo has also performed in sold-out stadiums on every continent and made countless headlining appearances at the biggest festivals in the world. Finally this summer, he will be able to perform at PAROOKAVILLE, the greatest electronic music festival in Germany!
The most well-known combo in the EDM world is Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Their famous festival performances are renowned, and their songs frequently become festival anthems with cumulative streams in the billions.
This quirky brother combination has frequently held the top slot in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the past ten years, making regular appearances in the Top 5. The international dance scene will continue to include Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Alok, a DJ and producer from Brazil, is a global ambassador for Brazilian bass music and one of the country’s most popular performers. This famous person and family guy also utilizes his talent and appeal to further humanitarian causes.
Alok performed on the roof of the UN building in New York City at the start of the 2022 Global Climate Change Week alongside a group of indigenous performers. Alok is currently making his first trip to the festival city after Corona kept him away in 2020.
Since starting out as a Psytrance pioneer ten years ago, the Israeli DJ team Vini Vici has gained the admiration of trance legend Armin Van Buuren, who says of them: “Very few acts have such a well-defined, characteristic sound.” The first Psytrance genre act to headline significant EDM events was Vini Vici. They return to the PAROOKAVILLE Mainstage as the festival’s headlining act on Saturday, bringing their distinctive flair with them.
And even though Alle Farben will be performing at the festival’s seventh iteration for a record-breaking sixth time, this Parookaville veteran will also be making a minor debut this year! He will be making his debut on the Parookaville Mainstage, so the festival’s largest crowd will anticipate relishing his upbeat sound as real musicians perform with him.
The 1LIVE Radio presentation of a fresh new festival day featuring the absolute best in House sounds will take place on Friday at Bill’s Factory. The British hit guaranteeor Joel Corry will perform for the crowd in addition to the headlining act Alok.
Fans of hardstyle can expect a never-ending party on Friday with Dr. Peacock, a Saturday with D-Block & S-te-Fan, and a Sunday with Rooler. On Friday, Kayzo and Slander will blast bass music through the Cloud Factory, while Klangkuenstler will bring a Hardtechno thunderstorm on Saturday.
From February 7th to February 9th, more acts will be revealed during our second announcement week on the festival’s internet platforms.
PAROOKAVILLE tickets continue to be in high demand. Since last October, visas for PAROOKAVILLE, which are valid from July 21 to 23, have already been made available. All VIP categories, normal Day Visas for Saturday, caravan camping, and single tickets with lodging have already sold out at this time. The Combi-Ticket for Friday and Saturday, ordinary Day Visas for Friday and Sunday, and Full Weekend Visas with and without camping are still available, though.
