Tycho Announces New Album “Infinite Health” and First North American Tour in Five Years
Tycho has excited fans by unveiling a new single, an upcoming album, and a tour.
The forthcoming album, titled “Infinite Health,” is Tycho’s sixth release. It aims to blend a hopeful outlook on the future with reflections on the past. Tycho reveals that this project leans heavily into electronic production, particularly emphasizing rhythmic components like breaks and drums.
The initial single from “Infinite Health” is “Phantom,” which Tycho describes as his top pick and the one he invested the most effort in. He worked on this track with Chris Taylor from Grizzly Bear and his regular collaborator, Zac Brown. Tycho aimed to mix nightclub vibes with a mystical essence through “Phantom,” exploring themes of mortality and existence. He noted, “I spent countless hours on this track, introducing a style of bass playing that’s quite new for me with a Juno emulator for the bassline.”
Mark your calendars—Tycho is embarking on his first North American headlining tour in five years, starting this fall. The tour, influenced by his latest album’s sonic themes, will begin on Friday, September 13th in Ogden, Utah.
