CHARLOTTE DE WITTE TO BECOME HISTORY’S FIRST TOMORROWLAND MAINSTAGE CLOSER
The electronic dance music festival will for the first time ever feature a closing set by a woman. Since its inception in 2005, only male DJs have dominated the main stage for a final set. The organizers of the Belgian event have selected a hometown star, Charlotte de Witte, to change the game. The founder of the KNTXT label has performed at a festival every year since 2017. de Witte has become a prominent face of the techno genre.
Tomorrowland recently unveiled its massive 2022 lineup via a poster, and instead of questioning “Who’s on the lineup?” you better ask “Who isn’t?” This year’s lineup is the biggest in Tomorrowland history. Martin Garrix, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, Marshmello, Eric Prydz, Nicky Romero, Above & Beyond, FISHER, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and many others are set to hit the main stage.
Tomorrowland’s first weekend of 2022 is scheduled to kick off on July 15th.
