Kyle Watson Establishes a Fresh Record Label for “Music That Stands Out from the Crowd”

No Context Records, a fresh label conceived by Kyle Watson, operates under the belief that house music has the power to evoke emotions without any context. The South African house music luminary launched the label, which features its inaugural release, a powerful tech house number dubbed “Kick Drums.”

No Context Records is a family project, as Watson developed it with his wife, Tash. According to a press release shared with EDM.com, the label’s direction was inspired by the “tingly feeling” one experiences when a good bassline envelops their ears. Tash elaborated that “Isolate that bassline-take it out of context-and suddenly it makes a lot less sense. It’s the combination of seemingly random and unrelated elements that create something truly magical, and that’s what inspires us at No Context.”

Watson is currently preparing for a momentous appearance at Coachella, where he is set to perform in the celebrated Yuma Tent. While he prepares for his performance, listeners can enjoy “Kick Drums” and stream the new track here.
