The Clean Announce “Tally Ho!” and Boodle Boodle Boodle Reissues
The Clean have announced they will be reissuing their first two releases—the “Tally Ho!” b/w “Platypus” 7" and the Boodle Boodle Boodle EP—in 40th anniversary editions on November 12 via Merge.
The reissues were remastered by Tex Houston in coordination with the Alexander Turnbull
Library New Zealand, and the recreation of the original packaging was overseen by the band’s David Kilgour and Robert Scott. Merge says it’s the first time the records are “globally available” since their original release in 1981.
Founding Clean member Peter Gutteridge died in 2014. In 2013, Captured Tracks and Flying Nun reissued the band’s 1990 debut full-length Vehicle.
