Why you should not Miss Rakastella At Art Basel Miami 2022
The dual event of Life and Death and Innervisions Love is the central theme of Rakastella—love for music, love for people, love for the environment, and love for the unforeseen magic that happens when decent people dance to cultural sounds.
AceMoMA, Diplo b2b Carlita, Dixon, TSHA, DJ Boring, DJ Tennis b2b Seth Troxler, Sofia Kourtesis, Moodymann, Jennifer Cardini, Or:la, Trikk, Ashley Venom, Will Renuart, Coffintexts, Powder, Quest, and Yu Su are among the performers on this year’s lineup who perform on various stages, each of which has a distinct visual aesthetic.
On Saturday, December 3, 2022, it takes place at the picturesque Virginia Key Beach Park in Miami; the last few tickets are still available here.
Rakastella is a 15+ hour party that is carefully planned to include everyone in the line-up and on the dance floor. This year, the festival’s diversity and the necessity of creating a secure environment that is inviting to all are both in the foreground.
Top-tier Das from the worlds of house, techno, bass, and everything in between add a touch of elegance to Rakastella. Expect a lot of passion on the dance floor this year because artists like AceMoMA, Diplo b2b Carlita, Dixon, TSHA, DJ Boring, DJ Tennis b2b Seth Troxler, Sofia Kourtesis, Moodymann, Jennifer Cardini, Or:la, Trikk, Ashley Venom, Will Renuart, Coffintexts, Powder, Quest, Yu Su, and more will be performing.
The inclusive clubbing collective HE.SHE.THEY, which has brought its gender, sexuality, and body-positive vibes to events like Glastonbury in the last year, is one of the stage hosts this year. Where Are My Keys?, a Miami-based boutique underground brand that organizes distinctive international events with top-notch music, will also be hosting.
Rakastella makes a concerted effort to improve every year, and in 2022 they will have more bathrooms that are constantly staffed to ensure cleanliness, water refill stations to keep you hydrated, and bars that, after 3am by law, have a curated virgin cocktail list, pressed juices, and fresh options that will allow you to go out late but feel good.
A baseline carbon emission assessment and a food rescue program that will send excess food to the Miami Rescue Mission are the two new Climate Action activities that Rakastella has launched after partnering with Ascendance. Another notable commitment by this long-time leader in Miami’s environmentally friendly partying is their very own reusable cup system.
