Premiere: Gabriel Drabkin Breaks Free From His Chains In New Single “TILLIMFREE”
Multicultural Hip Hop and R&B artist, Gabe Drabkin, aka Gabriel Drabkin invites listeners to take a look inside his heart, mind, and soul with the brand new track “TILLIMFREE.” The Ukrainian-Latvian singer-songwriter and rapper reveals that he’s “here in an attempt to express and connect; with music.”
Speaking of the new release, Drabkin admits that the piece is really important to him, “It’s a look into my head, battling certain influences and people that hold me back from finding freedom. ‘TILLIMFREE’ has a message of finding the chains that tie you down in life and acknowledging them and freeing yourself from them.”
All the young up-and-comer needs is to be free with his lover on his side, “I ain’t tryna play no more/ I just wanna hold you close/ In the midst of the fall I fall real slow/ For your love that holds/ Girl you taking me higher/ -And low/ Higher, higher and free/ Oh it’s been lonely and this I know/ Oh this I hope/ Could be my life/ For the rest of my life.”
The genre-bending artist shows great versatility in his sound. Drabkin plays around with R&B, Hip Hop, and Soul to create and produce songs that convey his authentic and heartfelt expressions, “In these lies I breathe free till the day dead/ I got a few I fall back on/ I’m about as good as they come/ The highest high playing them damn drums/ I see what I’ve loved and see what I make.”
Influenced by musical icons like Mick Jenkins, Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Isaiah Rashad, The RZA, Prince and others, Gabe Drabkin hopes to inspire people and put out music that can speak to people on an emotional and intellectual level. “TILLIMFREE” follows the artist’s recent singles “Tried Calling,” “Bag” and previous releases such as “Morning Sun,” ft. Rocklee, “I Appreciate you” with Sir Micheal Rocks, “uaintheard?” ft. G Thags, and “Forgiveness,” ft. YGTUT.
