Avicii Unreleased Footage From Ultra Miami 2013 Revealed
Avicii‘s performance at the 2013 Ultra Music Festival has recently surfaced online. The footage captures a poignant moment when Avicii invites Adura Mae to join him on stage for a moving rendition of “Addicted to You,” a single from his seminal album “True.” This track soon became a mainstay in his sets. The video also features “Dear Boy,” which showcases vocals from MØ, who later collaborated with Major Lazer and DJ Snake on “Lean On.”
Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, passed away in 2018 at the age of 28, having retired from touring two years earlier. His retirement was attributed to a desire to pursue other interests that he had little time to explore. Upon his death, the music industry paid tribute to the beloved DJ and producer.
In response, his family established the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charitable organization that supports mental health and causes dear to Avicii’s heart. In 2021, Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe, the largest indoor arena in the city, was renamed the Avicii Arena, while the Avicii Experience, a tribute museum in his hometown, was unveiled in 2020. A wind sculpture was also erected in his honor.
Avicii’s last-ever performance was recorded in Ushuaïa, Ibiza, in 2016, and the official YouTube account recently shared rare footage of it. Fans can now also watch the newly-released footage of Avicii’s moving live performance at the 2013 Ultra Music Festival below.
