GORDO opens a New Learning Center In Guatemala
GORDO, previously known as Carnage, has made it his mission to assist the communities he grew up in. His dedication to helping children overcome their disadvantages and create more opportunities for their future has led him to open up the third school and center in Central America. Through his work with established partner organization Seeds of Learning, a non-profit dedicated to improving prospects for young people living in rural areas of Central America, GORDO has shown that he is committed to making the world a better place.
The latest learning center funded by the US-based, Guatemalan-raised DJ and producer is called EDIFICIO TARAKA. It is situated in Nuevo Eden, a locality in Guatemala’s San Marcos region. Once construction completes, the facility’s impact on students will be profound. GORDO shared that he dedicates this school to his aunt, uncle, and late cousin Catherine, who he grew up with in Guatemala.
My childhood in Guatemala shaped who I am today and I am honored to give back to the generation of tomorrow in my home country. I dedicate this school to my aunt, my uncle, and my late cousin Catherine who I grew up with in Guatemala
