SUCHI Unveils New EP ‘Ghungroo’ on !K7, Shares “Blåmerke”

DJ and producer SUCHI has revealed exciting news with the announcement of her upcoming EP titled Ghungroo on !K7 Records. The EP, set to drop on March 15th, marks SUCHI’s debut on the renowned label, following her previous Birdy Bell EP release on Spectral Sound last July.

The title Ghungroo pays tribute to SUCHI’s roots, blending her Oslo upbringing with her Delhi influences. Named after the small metallic bells worn by classical Indian dancers, the EP carries a cultural significance close to SUCHI’s heart. The lead single, “Blåmerke,” translating to “bruise” in Norwegian, offers a glimpse into SUCHI’s native language and sets the tone for the EP’s diverse sonic palette.

Joining the EP is a remix of “Blåmerke” by Munich-based producer Sam Goku, adding a fresh perspective to SUCHI’s vibrant soundscapes. Fans can anticipate a captivating journey through SUCHI’s musical evolution, guided by her distinct fusion of genres and cultural influences.

SUCHI’s previous feature on DJ Mag’s Fresh Kicks mix and interview series showcased her talent for curating immersive sonic experiences. Described as “deep, percussive, bassy, and hypnotic,” her mix left a lasting impression, hinting at the sonic depth awaiting listeners on Ghungroo.

To celebrate the EP’s release, SUCHI will host her inaugural Ikke Sant party at The Pickle Factory in London on February 17th, promising an electrifying night filled with her signature sound. Tickets for the event are available now, offering fans a chance to experience SUCHI’s music in a live setting.

Ghungroo will be available in both digital and eco-friendly formats, with 100% recycled vinyl options for environmentally conscious listeners. Pre-orders for the EP are now open, allowing fans to secure their copy ahead of its highly anticipated release.
